engyo -- i see you signed up in the hall for today's zazenkai -- how about putting your mike on, so that it would pick up the audio of jundo? -- i think you have a better connection than i do, and that way i could hear jundo while we're all sitting in the hall -- cause i expect my wifi connection will not carry both jundo and the hall

OK, so I signed up for the Hall tonight by mistake. I'll be sitting the zazenkai tomorrow from 2000-0000 EST. Sorry for tying up the schedule with that nonsense. I'd love some company, but I understand the time isn't optimal. Saturday night is my Sunday with regards to work, but I live in bizarro world.

Shujin, I just wanted to thank you for being there and sitting this past weekend night (I think Sunday?). Earlier that night I received an email infused with crushing sadness, and so while my hubby was upstairs I 'snuck into' the hall while I was downstairs for a while, just because I really needed to sit right then. It was an unexpected delight to find you there, and the company and convivial stillness gave me more support and comfort than you can imagine. Deep bows to you, and to all who sit. Ann

I hope to be more "regular" soon. I used the "schedule this time for the next four weeks" function when I thought things had settled down, then of course everything got stirred back up. So I'm batting around .250 for actual attendance at the times I've signed up for... that's lousy even during Spring Training. I continue to sit whenever it is that I sit, what better time is there? So you may see me around the hall at all sorts of odd hours.

Ann - thank you for your kind words; I'm happy I was able to sit with you. I can't find adequate words to convey the feeling of sharing zazen with someone across space & time. As has been said before, I think the Sitting Hall is one of the most powerful aspects of Treeleaf. I'd compose a haiku about it, but it'd be rubbish.

Genkai - Hope to see you in the Hall again soon.
