Hi everybody !

For this week ( September 12-17), I propose to change Kaikyo Ge by the chanting of Fueko. Here are the words :

Fueko

Negawaku wa kono kudoku wo motte,

amaneku issai ni oyoboshi,

warera to shujô to mina tomoni

butsudô wo jô zen koto wo.

May the merits of reciting these sutras permeate
all beings in all places, so that all of us,
sentient beings, may realise together the way of the buddah.

Don’t forget that everyone can suggest new chants or texts.

The zen voices

Sing and give up your ego
Sing, without intentions or goals
Sing and immerse yourself in the dharma
Sing so that you and the whole universe are never separate
Sing and perceive your true nature
Sing and unite your voice with those of the sangha

Sing instead of those who cannot
Sing instead of those who can’t do it no longer
Sing and embody the voices that have fallen silent over the days, months and years

So that at each sitting, serene presence,
The silent choir manifests in each of us

Hi everybody !

We are starting the month of February today and at the end of it, we will celebrate the second anniversary of the Chanting and Zazen Circle. By March 1st, each day we will dedicate a poem in tribute to Ryokudo and Saiko, who are the originators of this brilliant idea: to come together to sing, read, and of course, do zazen.

We can never express enough how beneficial this almost daily gathering has been for our practice.

Thank you both and to all participants who, over the weeks and months, have contributed to making this circle an essential meeting place marked by the spirit of camaraderie, respect, sharing, complicity, and sincere friendship.
