Well, I will actually be able to sit with the retreat next Saturday and Sunday! I've been relatively distant from the Sangha due to school and work responsibilities (it's easy enough to squeeze in zen practice during the hustle and bustle, but zen study is another story), but I have three weeks off from school for winter break so I will be able to dedicate a bit more time to the Sangha activities. I'm looking forward to sitting with you all!

I finally got the opportunity to sit the retreat this weekend. I would first and foremost like to thank Jundo and all of the Unsui for facilitating the retreat. There was definitely an epic battle between me, myself, and I going on for a while, but I was able to move past that and really let go. In fact, I think this retreat was the first time that I've had technical difficulties and I was able to truly know there was nothing lacking. I also found that a phone call to my ISP's tech support line can be a sacred ritual if treated as such! Overall, it was an experience that was truly worth the time and effort (even though my knees may disagree with me ). Thanks everyone for sharing this wonderful practice.

          Gassho,

              Hi Steven,

Like an old guy who dwells on this sangha told me, technical non-difficulties are part of who we are and part of our practice. It's like when in old temples they had a leaky roof under heavy rain. Someone had to get off the zafu to go fix it!

I'm glad you sat Rohatsu with us.

              Gassho,

              Kyonin
