Due to that nasty cold which won't vanish I'm unsure what I can attend. Now the notebook makes some trouble as well. I try to be there when everything works and when my body tells me I'm up to it, but I may have to leave the notebook unattended every now and then to get some rest and attend some chores awaiting me.

Thanks everyone for a lovely twodayssattoday. It was wonderful to see all the unsui in action. And the special guest appearance by Kyonin's cat.
May life shine on you today.

Thank you everyone who participates in this Rohatsu Retreat. A special thanks to all the unsui who contributed. I appreciate all of your practice and the opportunity to practice with you. Through listening and doing, I learned a great deal more abut our practice through this experience.

Thank you to Jundo and to the Treeleaf Unsui for their considerable time and effort into making the Rohatsu retreat a reality. A special mention to Dosho and Shingen for ensuring that some of us were able to participate 2-way in some of the sessions, despite the eternal mysteries of Google+...!

For me, it was my first such adventure with the group, and I found it much more daunting than I had first anticipated. They were looooong days . I struggled with the longer sitting times. I hadn't figured how demanding 'just sitting' was going to be...! That said, I was surprised to find myself getting quite emotional when it concluded.

It was wonderful to see all of the contributions of the Unsui. And of course of our teacher. Jundo, what a wonderful thing you have put together here. We cannot thank you enough.

              Gassho,

              Bryson

Deep bows to all that sat the retreat live and that are continuing to sit these sessions.

Thank you all for making this possible.

The knees and calves are sore and the head a little muzzy from lack of sleep, but I am filled with love and respect for my brothers and sisters in practice.

Even though we do not sit to go anywhere or attain anything, nevertheless, sometimes it moves. Obstructions large or small shift just enough that the light peeks in (luminosity?).

Deep and sincere thanks to each of you, our fearless teach and leader, our lovely unsui, and to each of you.

                  Gassho,

                    Hi all,
Thank you for making my first Rohatsu Retreat truly something to remember. I am really sad that its over . It was wonderful sitting with everyone. I feel that you all have become part of my family.

                    Many gasshos,

                      Greetings everyone!
As expected my cold limited me in taking part, yet I enjoyed the parts I could attend so far a great deal. I try to watch and keep up with the other Units as soon as I can. I was surprised that sitting for so long wasn't a total pain in the .. legs.
This was my first time, be it for sitting together in such a festive manner and even true for simply sitting with others. And it was an experience I very much approve of! I look forward to more. It feels like a home, a calm and warm-hearted, with a good portion of humour, open minds - just a big family as it should be.

Gratitude to all who worked so hard to make it happen; to all who sat or will sit or were unable to sit; to all the pets that know a good thing when they see it and join in; to our Engineers; to our friends at the Blue Mountain; to our wonderful Unsui; and thank you especially to our treasure, Jundo

Thank you to Jundo and our Unsui. I have only been able to sit with a small portion thus far but that is the wonder of having the whole retreat recorded.

Hi Sekishi - I could not get the document to download - but thank you and will try again tomorrow.

I know, Sesshin is like that. It is even more so when a 7 day Sesshin, and is actually part of the process. I recall on the 3rd day of one Sesshin at Sojiji, when I was both homesick and just sick of sitting, I found an inner switch to find contentment right there. Push it ... content in sitting. Push it again ... homesick and sick of sitting. Repeat repeat, back and forth in mood. After all, it is the mind's attitude that makes all the difference. Since then, I can always find that inner switch when I need.

I am glad that you stuck it through, and it was lovely to sit and be sitting with all of you guys here.

Hey, I saw no computer monitor. I saw us all together sitting transcending space and time. As one.
