    Forgiving Mr Keating

    May I forgive you
    wishing in my memory,
    That director accusing me
    That in infirmity, in childish
had caried death up his divorce,
    Dropped him made--he lashed
    Out at me, nearly heat
    Pierced, my eternity

    Relinquished like heartwood
Of Douglas fir, hardest heart ever
Be In my spitaily taken, worked
    Stealthily of manufactured doves
    Reluctantly, bill collector made me
Smir my fear before my eighteenth year,
Year-- Seventy two now intoxicant of harsh,
Right eye blurred, now I to grovel at that

    Memory, dispassionate, desperately.
As Loving Kindness enters me, wanton
Sifting through death unforeseen in brain
Surgery; oh, forgive the dead I cannot
Avoid; bones will sink below Buddha's
    Cause effectively in heaven's reverie.

    Gassho
    Deep bows

          Returning to a Time

          There was a time when
I was eighteen I too went
          To Dachau later met Viktor
          Frankl, experiments
          Slats for beds no toilet

          Wish now I had not
          Seen life's biggest mystery
          May sand cool like her
          Pearl near sleeping
          Death of People gone
          Six million, there were more
          eighteen million, then many more.

          In the other bed, more
          We in poverty, her
          In Howard, me in Des
          Moines, her South Dakota
Me in Iowa, we only had
          Cheap mattresses, wanton

          Poverty, circumvented
          As couple we in love
          Conceived daughter, after
          Nearly in Poverty, yes
          Above with our child

          Our home, in Hartford
          With looming white pine
          tree, maples, elm, river
          Birch, aspens to remind
          Us of Colorado

          Did we travel to paper
          Mill, where I taught
          Classes six hors and eight
          Hours, fifteen hours then days
          Like roller skate, missile
          Towa, laughing at our novelty

          Our Christmases we gave
          To her, child hsad halloween
Where mom, my pear, my tree
          Sewed Lion King costume
          We laughed in spite
          Of longing sways trying

          To make homestead in Ill.
Not to be, because at four
AM I sat all night in attempt
          To give students, grading
          Something else, Literary
          Magazine

I saved for art four am art's
          Sake, they didn't remember me
See my work From reality forced
To give failing nephew with "F"a "D"
Me in "F" math 101, and later

          Other students with same
          Reality given no grade failure
          Because registrar gave all
          Students at Grinnell instant
Drop erased of "F" no grade below
"C" then for me "F" followed

          Me throughout eternity I never
          Left, they cheated me
          For that semester of Kent
          State. Don't you see what
          Reality cheated of GPA
          Honors you would not
          Transfer, "As" and"Bs"
          Academic snobbery.

          Now I am Zen, Ubasoku
          Grandmotherly I support
          Don't take, withdrawal from
          Alcohol, Oxycodone and Fentanyl
          Already sober 36 years, more
I see the infidelity on humanity.

            Thank you Tree Leaf

            You caused me to see
            My worth for others, first
            My best Zen Teacher
            Marjorie, sent from
            Some reality, seeking
            All cannot be as Four

            Vows say, in our own
            Witness of another
            Day, okay you cannot
            See your birthright, your
            Own wisdom inner self

            Ubasoku, grandmotherly
            To serve, I cannot be
            Priest, because I am old
            But could study, books
            Would not be a problem

            Don't you see, other Priest
            Other reality, my Pearl would
Not for me taught me Humanity
            Thy Humility, full circle
Be, I am free of Drugs
            And alcohol, the Ethanol
            36 Years, I am free

            So doctor gave me, infirm
            Drugs, said he sat six
            Feet from Thich Nhat Hanh
It did him no good stole
            My humanity

            Tonight I rise above narcotics
I am free, As the Black spirituals
I am free, thank my own
            Gods, along with zazen
            Shikantaza, I have found

            That freedom rises to reality
Of just sitting zazen into rest
Of Abraham and I am not
            Child slaughtered, human
Sacrifice is gone banned from West
All can see rath in killing
            Humanity, Jewish sacrament
Live and let live, this is the true
Statement for my freedom. i am.

              The Second Day

              What is there to say?
              It is the second day,
              With no addictive substance,
Not that I have ever been

              High from the patches
              I have worn going
              One 10 years, sadness
              To the wonder of precept
              Which one is it?

              The one about intoxication,
I was never high from numbing
              Drugs, I have a disease,
              Ankylosing Spondylitis,

I have come to loathe this name
              Diagnosis when I was 40,
              That Fall could not get
              Out of bed easily,
Stuck, felt, I am 72 now,

              Old in my spine,
              This was my shadow down
              For I knew I had
              Slept hard

              Crooked, twisted,
              Into joint knots, what
              To do? Not going

              I made no page upon
              My computer though
              I accidently made
              Without thinking--

              About my pain, like
              Graded at no wisdom
              To sound like my own
              Hacker, I was in pain,

              Three days ago my
              Last of pain required
              Medication, today creaking
In neck, in chest, in spine

              My back swaed to left.
              This substance no!
              Yet, I exercised
              Actually feeling a bit,
              No abuse, what is free?

                          Early autumn, a storm

Tai Shi, do you still read your Messenger? I sent messages on Friday and Saturday which are unread and a message on Gmail.

You seem to use so many different places, it is hard to know where to contact you.
