I think I am a plant. I wake up as it starts to get light and wind down after sunset. That’s why living in Finland was such a shock to the system, I practically hibernated in winter!

Does this mean that you adjust your scheduled zazenkai etc for the rest of the sangha?

As with last night, tonight looks to be a repeat performance. My son has a cough and fever which means nobody is sleeping.

Dear all,

First of all I want to say how much I appreciate the regular group that comes to sit with me in the mornings.

It occasionally happens that for one reason or another I am not available for morning zazenkai. This can sometimes be at short notice, perhaps leading to people waiting for me to turn up before starting.

To deal with this, I would like to ask if anybody is willing to volunteer to take over on days when I am late or unable to sit with you?

In practice this means that if I am not online in time for 0500 start, that person automatically takes the lead in starting and finishing the Zazen session.

Anyone able to take on this role may comment here or better yet, pm me, so I will be notified even if I don’t log in to the forum that day.

Sounds like that liquor was available a bit too much this morning!!

(PS - Took me a minute to realize the typos. I assume you meant, "It's one of those days when I most likely [won't] be available" Probably due to typing while holding the baby with the other hand. Or the liquor bottle with the other hand. )
