    December 13th-14th 48 hour Treeleaf SIT-A-THON

    Dear Sangha,

As you know our dear Jundo Roshi is having surgery soon. We are all together in wishing him well, sending our love, and looking forward to hearing good news. We will have a special thread for updates on his condition.

As we wait, please join together in sitting a little extra if you are able - as an offering to our Teacher of our sincere and dedicated practice.

Beginning at midnight on Wednesday (Japan time), we will have a 48 hour Treeleaf SIT-A-THON!

If you would like to plan ahead please see the following spreadsheet and fill the times when you can sit: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

Alternatively (or in addition), please feel free to note your sitting in this thread with something like this:

I'm sitting now for xx minutes -- for Jundo and all beings now suffering or ill in health.
Lets do our best to have someone sitting somewhere for the whole 48 hours! We sit as one!

Please feel free to sit in the Treeleaf NOW Free Sitting Room, with Insight Timer, OR WITH NO "SOCIAL" PRESENCE AT ALL.

The most important thing is to just sit together.

Please, sit together allowing all dharmas to manifest the function of the one bright pearl.

    互助 - Gojo Bodhisattva

    互 - mutually;  reciprocally;  together
    助 - help;  rescue;  assist

Gojo is no-one. Gojo is everyone. Together we manifest the hands of the Bodhisattvas!

Please, bear witness and share reports of kindness and compassion in the world: gojo@treeleaf.org

Please take my words with a big grain of salt. I know nothing. Wisdom is only found in our whole-hearted practice together.

This is wonderful. I was hoping something like this was happening. I think I've got my heading round the time zones...so it's actually starting in UK this afternoon?

Please count me in although I'm still half way through Rohatsu but I'll try to sit now and then. Even an extra 10 minutes here and there should keep this ticking along. Ding.

Lucy its +9 hrs for Essex so will start 1500 / 3 pm for you. Had to check for myself !

Find the exact time difference with the Time Zone Converter – Time Difference Calculator which converts the time difference between places and time zones all over the world.

Folks can add there own local time zone city to the link if not sure of the difference.

Thanks Toby. I was pretty sure that's what time it was. I get so confused with all the time zones.

I just got word that the time-zone column labels were not showing up for some folks. This has been fixed. I don't know that it will make it that much clearer, but maybe...

There should be dark green column headers for JST, CET, GMT, etc. like so:
                          Screenshot from 2017-12-12 08:14:18--treeleaf-sitting-schedule.jpg

We are sitting on Wednesday and Thursday JAPAN TIME. For the cells in blue, this means the times are actually Tuesday and Wednesday (e.g. starting in about an hour and forty minutes from this post).

I hope this clarifies a little.

Looking at spreadsheet is like unearthing a cuneiform tablet... for some of us. Think I worked it out.

Gassho and deep bows dear sangha.
