    .
However, "one way" live sitters are encouraged to come into the Zoom sitting, and just leave the camera and microphone turned off.
    .

PS - There is no "wrong" or "right" in Zazen ... yet here is a little explanation of the "right" times to Bow (A Koan) ...

The other video I mention on Zendo decorum is this one, from our "Always Beginners" video Series:

Unfortunately I won’t be able to join you all this evening as I am tending to hungry ghosts tonight. However, I will be sitting with you all in the morning. Have a good weekend everyone!

      NO-BELL PEACE PRIZE

Apologies for the absence of bells in zazenkai this week. Actually, the bells were present, just their sound was not. One day I will learn how to fix Zoom so that the bells can be heard.

In the meantime, I am starting a human bell replacement company. If your bell no longer rings, your tingsha won't ting, your gong has lost it's bong, your singing bowl has laryngitis - even if your doorbell is kaput - for a small fee I'll stand inconspicuously in your zendo/room/hallway/porch, singing "ding" whenever it seems appropriate. Discounts for friends, family and fully paid-up Zennies.

Oh, no problem at all Seiko. Tis' a small thing.

I believe you also dedicated our Ceremony to Shariputra and "GudU" Nishijima, so live and learn for next time.

        Lovely.

PS - I moved your post here, if that's okay.

Apparently today was everyone's struggle day I hadn't realized my lavaliere microphone had disconnected and so I was unmuted throughout the ENTIRE zazenkai and entirely oblivious to it. Luckily for me, I'm too serious for my own good, so I bothered no one, I think, and made no inappropriate noises..

Thank you everyone. I sat with you this morning.

Jundo, the practice you talked about today is one I had started for myself a couple of years ago. At the end, I give a little gassho and say thank you.

Thank you all. Sat with you today.
I love the homework assignment, Jundo. Like Tairin, this is something I already do sometimes - though not every day. It also reminds me of Thich Nhat Hanh's Tangerine meditation.
