You know, my grandmother also practices at Treeleaf. She doesn't understand English at all, so she is not on the forum. She started sitting zazen after 65 she's years. And now she continues to practice with Washin and me on the morning scheduled sitting at 6.30 am Kiev time. She has always been a restless person, but has changed a lot over the years. Now she demonstrates calmness and readiness to accept any fate.

I am inspired by her practice, and by the practice of many who are not leaving zazen in these times.

Washin, Wabo and you in Ukraine: after organising hundreds of homes for people from Ukraine, hundreds of members of our regional civil protection units are currently in the process of building more shelters for several thousand more people.

Alongside this is the organisation of medical and psychological care, childcare, the provision of furniture, food, Mobile phones and internet access and everything else that people need. Especially rest. All this in the middle of Germany - And that's just in my district.

What I want to say is: we take good care of the people who come to us. May peace return soon. Stay strong.
