Hello Dita,

Remember that life before and life after receiving the precepts is no different. The precepts are not hard rules, but rather gentle guides to help us live a more fulfilled life ... each of us has to find our own way with the precepts as well, so how the precepts integrate in your life maybe different in how they integrate into mine ... and yet you, me, we, and the precepts are not separate, but one on the same path. =)

And 2am ... wow I agree it won't interfere with other appointments.

Have you undertaken Jukai before with a Sangha? If so, you are more than welcome to sit in with us and renew in your heart. Perhaps you will sew a Rakusu with us next season.

Regretfully, I've not been able to keep up with the requirements of Jukai - my rakusu remains half-sewed and many essays unread. I hope to try again in a year or two, with a deeper commitment and a clearer knowledge of what's required. In the meantime, I offer my rather envying congratulations to all of the other jukaiers!

Not too worry, life if life and sometimes life, family, and/or work need more of us. When you are ready we are always here.

In the meantime one can still live their life by the precepts...being kind, giving, and accepting of all that life can and does offer. =)
