Timeless "LAST CALL" for Rakusu Mailing Addresses / DATE FOR JUKAI CEREMONY

    Hello All Sewers,

If you have already sent your mailing address for the Rakusu backing inscriptions to Jundo, please disregard this message!

But if not, and wish me to inscribe your Rakusu back, please email me at: jundotreeleaf[a]gmail.com

REMEMBER THAT ALL SEWING NEEDS TO BE REVIEWED WITH PHOTOS IN OUR SEWING THREAD! I will be confirming with Shingen and Dosho where your sewing stands.

Although sewing is Timeless ... this is "LAST CALL" for Rakusu inscriptions this year. I hope to have them mailed within the coming days.

As well, I would like to schedule our Jukai ceremony for Sunday, January 15th at Midnight (Sunday-Monday) Japan time (that is New York 10am, Los Angeles 7am (Sunday morning), London 3pm and Paris 4pm (Sunday afternoon)). The ceremony will last about 1 hour (If somebody cannot make it that day, just write me. We have a lovely way of having folks join in the "live but recorded" version, then holding a short confirmation ceremony with me later by Skype. NOBODY WILL BE LEFT OUT.)

    Gassho, Jundo

    Thanks Jundo,
I was applying finishing touches to the Rakusu last night, ready to finish off when the silk arrives. Looking forward to the ceremony.

I was hoping for the earlier date as I'm leaving for a Yoga ashram on January 9 and even though there is internet it is unreliable and I will only have my Ipad I may only be able to participate one way........

                Hello Marina,

If for some reason you cannot make that date, please not to worry, as I know Jundo and all of us will ensure no one gets left behind and will make sure all works out. =)

                Hope that helps.

One way two way before or after does not matter. What is in the heart matters.

You will be there ... one way or another.

Great, thank you for fixing the date. I'm very much looking forward to it, but starting to feel slightly nervous. Committing to the precepts feels like a huge thing, but I want to do this.

Midnight Japan time is 2 in the morning in Sydney, ha ha, that's going to be fun :-) The good thing is that it most definitely won't overlap with any other appointments!

Tai Shi here--let me say I am very happy for all of you going through the ceremony as I did last year. This year I completed most of the precept readings, and the Ango vows, though I did not sit everyday as promised, but the rest are in order. I have great admiration for all of you, and I will always see my ceremony on January 10, 2016 as a very important day in my senior life, and the culmination of a path I had sought since I was 18-years-old. Reading Zen and the Art of Archery and introduced to Zen Mind, Beginner Mind at age 23. So I wish you well as finding Treeleaf has been Life Changing.

                            Hi Taishi,

You and all past Jukai Recipients are welcome to join in the upcoming Ceremony and retake it if you wish. No requirement. Just join with us, repeat the vows when asked.

                              Hello Dita,

Remember that life before and life after receiving the precepts is no different. The precepts are not hard rules, but rather gentle guides to help us live a more fulfilled life ... each of us has to find our own way with the precepts as well, so how the precepts integrate in your life maybe different in how they integrate into mine ... and yet you, me, we, and the precepts are not separate, but one on the same path. =)

And 2am ... wow I agree it won't interfere with other appointments.
