When your son is older he will understand, and I am sure that he will be impressed by his dad who could dedicate himself in this way.

Life is journey, and I will keep on plactise

I do right effort to my family and person who donated me.

I just think ,I need to on the way to helping people who worry about their life.

                Hello Kakunen,

Good to hear from you. I am sorry to hear you are back in the hospital. Please do take care of yourself, this too is practice and very important. If we do not take care of ourselves we are no good to anyone else.

It is a balance to help others, but to also take care of ourselves. Right now focus on you and get back soon. Sending much metta and thank you for your practice. =)

Take care of your health. Hard to be a "middle aged monk." Back in the Middle Ages of Japanese history, I am sure middle aged monks found it hard too sometimes.

I was just reading about the "hospital" for monks at Eiheiji in Dogen's time (the infirmary called Enjudo 延寿堂)

"The infirmary hall" is enjudo*, literally, "the hall for prolonging longevity." While in the enjudo*, monks
do not participate in any other temple activity ... When a monk is sick and cannot stand the Zendo life, he is taken into a separate room called Enjudo (lifeprolonging
room) where he is nursed by a fellow-monk. It is thus that the young novitiate begins to learn how
                    to serve his fellow-monks.

I know that word of Master Keizan.
He said that we see the world through eye given by mother and father.

If my father did bad things,he did not do bad things every time. And my mother had vertigo and highly blood pressure. So I will accept my situation.

But now we separate 20 year,so difficult to understand their life and their view.

This situation is karma.I think this way of thinking is important for us,maybe helpful for you.

We practice together. And we will be all calm.

                          Please be calm every time.
