If this is tied, do we end up covering 50 Shades of Grey?

Jeez, this is getting worse than the t-shirt vote thread.

I'm gonna say Lotus Sutra, because I don't know much about it.

                  Hi folks,

                  thanks for your feedback.

The Lotus Sutra is the clear winner this time round Gimme a week or two and I will try to put a video together.

@Adrian: I still have to wait for Jundo's and Taigu's approval to cover "50 Shades of Grey" (apparently a kinky porn book aimed at women who won't buy BDSM fantasy porn books unless they have a pretentious title and are official bestsellers).

                  Gassho,

I got late to this thread, but yes! Lotus Sutra, please.

                    Thank you, Mongen

Thanks Hans, I'm really looking forward to it! I often see references to the Lotus Sutra, but have never got round to reading it. Maybe now's a good time to start!

I guess I'll have to find another excuse to read 50 Shades......

Looking forward to the Lotus Sutra. I've found parts of it illuminating, when I've dipped into it before, but so much of it bizarre, even repelling. I suspect I'm just not getting it at all, even the parts I like! Thank you for offering this teaching.

                          Robert.

I'm not a huge fan of the Lotus, having studied it recently (my old posts on it are floating around here somewhere). Just seems like a few good kernels padded with a lot of self-praising fluff. Heck Gene Reeves even has an abridged version of his translation that focuses on the "important" chapters.

That being said, I'd be delighted for some new insights into appreciating it!

So I broke my resolution and ordered another book - but it's just a commentary by Thich Nhat Hanh
