This is as close as I could get without major blurring, at least with my skill level. I don't think the camera has enough contrast to work with since I used the same color thread. If anyone is an expert on taking pictures like this I could definitely use a lesson.

Hey Dosho- most digital cameras have a macro setting, usually a button with a flower icon- this allows you to take close-ups, somewhere around 5-20mm distance between the lense and subject.
