And the 6th Ancestor is still there ... or, at least, most of him (it is said that the head was perhaps stolen and brought to Korea, and the mummy was attacked a few times during the centuries, most recently during China's Cultural Revolution) ... but they put him back together:

At various times in Zen history, this mummy became absolutely sacred in the Zen world, comparable to purported bits of the Crucifix or the Shroud of Turin in Christianity, felt to hold all kinds of powers. You can read a little about that on pages 175-76 here:

Until now, China has been scarcely represented in the burgeoning comparative literature on pilgrimage. This volume remedies that omission, discussing the interaction between pilgrims and sacred sites from the tenth century to the present. From the perspectives of literature, art, history, religion, politics, and anthropology, the essays focus on China's most famous pilgrimage mountains as well as lesser known sites.

When I go, please do mummify me ... and keep me in Bion's living room, next to the television.

By then, won't there by "holographic projections" and all kinds of kool stuff besides television? Jundo, maybe we should make you into a virtual projection instead? Pre-record different teaches and certain reminders when Bion does something bad ??

That would give a whole new dimension to timeless/spaceless/emptiness of who we are....

I probably have enough on youtube and such that I can be kept forever like William Shatner ...

Got a question for "Star Trek" actor William Shatner? You could see it answered in an interactive conversation powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and using video responses that Shatner prerecorded.

This two-way conversational video platform was developed by StoryFile, and the company recently introduced the "conversation" with Shatner on its website as a way to commemorate the actor's 90th birthday this past spring. In the video, a jovial-looking Shatner sits in a room awaiting users' questions about his life and career, which can be posed as audio or text. Once Shatner is asked a question, the system swiftly selects an appropriate answer from the prerecorded options, providing the response in real time.

You just livened up a repressed memory I have of a bad dream about one of my great grandfathers who had passed away when I was about 3 or 4... I dreamt that they mummified him and hooked him up to a soundbox and wires to make us able to communicate with him...

I think about everything has been asked around here at least 10x, but I am happy to keep answering as best I can ... in flesh and blood ... for a few more years.
