Pieces of broken Buddhas are each a Buddha complete.
That which is whole remains so, yet is divided.
Thus, no violence is ever done, though terrible violence be done.

We are, you and I, each broken Buddhas.

Hello, Cathy here. Also just catching up with this thread as I haven’t been posting as much these last few months, although I do catch up with the weekly zazenkai on a Sunday afternoon. Good to see that there is a large UK contingent. I’m in Argyll in the West of Scotland, a bit remote from the nearest Zen Centre, therefore the Treeleaf Sangha is important to me. Love the statues - including the broken-headed one Joyo, as there is perfection in its imperfection.

Hello! Manchester here. Lots of Buddhists knocking about and various Buddhist centres to choose from. I just prefer the vibe at Treeleaf and Jundo's approach speaks to me.

I've fancied the idea of a retreat / sesshin for a while but haven't found anything that appeals to me. I've tended to plan my own mini-sesshins (at home). Have any members had good experiences of organised sesshins in the UK?
