I always get a chuckle out of this. It's a pay phone by the hospital. One day one person stuck their visitor sticker on it and others followed suit.

Oh, yeah. If I didn't have inner peace, I'd go completely psycho on all you guys all the time.

I thought I'd share one of my favorite spots to visit on the weekends. This is the pond at my parent's house where I grew up (about 25 minutes from where I live now).
This zafu was a present from my wife for our nine years engagement anniversary: IMG_3617.jpg
Here is my home altar, with my new Buddha statue (another present) and a butsudan set that she gave me for my birthday in January: IMG_3598.jpg
Here is my present to her, a hundred pen case: IMG_3618.jpg
Here is a small artisans and farmers fair that we went this saturday (spent the day actually, drinking home made beer, eating vegan snacks and sweets, and buying organic fruits and vegetables, kombucha and cooperative made honey): IMG_3611.jpg

The vegan snacks were made by my wife's tutored student and the beer was made by a fellow teacher in her University.
Good week to all.

This all looks great! I'd love to have proper statues on my altar at home, but my wife isn't fully comfortable with the idea yet, so for now I choose to hold off in order to not cause her discomfort
However, I still occasionally leave tea or rice on my altar. Not sure whether she has noticed yet.
Perhaps I will post a photo of it later, though I am unsure as to whether it will be well received here.

Remember that an Altar is truly not a "place," not full or empty, and that even when there is or is not a "Buddha Statue" there or here, yet there is nothing there and everything and every place, for everything is the true Buddha Statue and the true Buddha Statue is everything and nothing at all.
So, don't sweat the cosmetics and decorations too much.

Thank you, Jundo!
I would like to have a few proper statues someday, even if small, but I know it isn't at all important since all things are Buddha
That being the case, statues aren't any great priority for me
