Thank you all.
This was no intended prostration, and the fall crashed my glasses.
While the fragments of the glasses made some deep cuts, right and left dharma eye were spared.
I'm deeply thankful.
Just back from night ER because the cuts kept bleeding.

This afternoon, after I came to, was the first time ever for me to do (lie bleeding) Zazen in such a situation.
Buddha in snow, buddha in bandages.
Broken glasses and face, but ... painful OK, yes.

Much Metta dear Danny!

Zazen can be a full contact "sport". I sprained an ankle and broke a toe two months ago after Zazen. I did not realize that one foot was completely numb until I tried to stand on it.

Please be kind to these bodies. They are so fragile.

Yes, please be careful. Actually, for this reason, most Zen Sangha in America are now recommending that all folks sit Zazen with proper safety helmets and padding ...
