My cat Pepper
Pepper Cat,
Lives aware of only
Sleep, food, potty,
Play of mouse and hand,
Former of most importance
Reliving freedom
From Ditch Kitty
WE helped in liberation.
Shots, spay, love which
In no way returned
Not necessary, I rise
Each morning
Offer treat of fish and fish
Latter followed by dry
Moist Cat Food
My wife offers this,
"Had I seen her
defects, of body, nerves
Never would I have
Adopted this Loving cat!"
I pet, stroke, help to purr
Relive for her mother
Perhaps never felt after
Very few weeks,
We are surrogate mothers
We offer love she
Can never return, but
Returns most fully.
