I really like that quote from Gandhi. That is a great perspective and very similar to how I approach our Verse of Atonement which I recite each night before bed. If gives me a chance to reflect on aspects where I may have fallen down.
Agree with Tairin. I have also made the Verse of Atonement part of my daily practice. I recite it every night following evening zazen along with the Bodhisattva vows. That has been a meaningful way to close out each day and prepare myself for the next.
