The Ninety-fourth Gate
The four elements of sociability are a gate of Dharma illumination; for [with them] we accept all living beings and, after we have attained [the truth of] bodhi, we bestow upon all living beings the Dharma
The four elements of sociability :
The four elements are (per Ch. 45, Vol III, Shobogenzo):
dāna, free giving;
priya-ākhyāna, kind speech;
artha-carya, helpful conduct and
samāna-arthatā, identity of purpose, or cooperation
Gatha:
May we together with all buddhas
Actualize the four elements of sociability
That we may be a light unto all beings
May this offering bring peace to all beings
May our actions contribute to the harmony of The Universe
And, may all hearts and minds be opened to the present
