                  Sat with zazenkai.
Thank you to Jundo and Anshu and all our sangha who help make it happen.
I loved the teisho and it had special meaning for me, personally (and I suspect others who practice from home) as it poked holes in the crystallized image of "a real Zen Buddhist" that lives in my head sometimes. Real Zen Buddhists have arguments with their wives, mitigate battles between their children, pay their taxes and clean out infected cat bites that their pets come home with (long story). Anyway, it was a pleasant revelation. And recalling the image of Buddha leaving his family as a "big mistake" was potent juxtaposition because if Siddhartha could have realized the Dharma without having to miss time spent with family who loved him that may have relieved some of their suffering too; who's to say? In any case "all life is our temple", eh? And it's good to be reminded of that sometimes.
Thank you all for your practice.
                  Gassho,

Sat with the recorded Zazenkai tonight.

Thanks Jundo for the Teisho, it clarified as much as dignified to me the layman/laywoman role in Zen and the spirit of Mahayana buddhist practice. All life is our temple, indeed.

And I dont know why but while I was listening the image of this Koan crossed my mind: "The Buddha was walking with his students. He stopped and pointed to the ground and said “This spot would be a good place to build a temple (or a monastery).” The God Indra, who was tagging along, stuck a blade of grass in the ground and declared, 'The temple is built.' The Buddha smiled."...

                      Well, thank you again.

Sat with you all, it has been a rough couple of weeks for me and sitting with you all gave me a profound sense of peace.

Like coming home and plopping in a comfy chair after a hard days work.

Thank you all, and thank you Jundo for the talk.
