    June 26th, 2010 Saturday Zazenkai (NOW 90 MINUTES!)

    PLEASE NOTE OUR NEW --90-- MINUTE SITTING SCHEDULE!!

    Please 'sit-a-long' with our weekly SATURDAY 'LIVE FROM TREELEAF' 90 minute ZAZENKAI, netcast LIVE TODAY from 10pm Japan time (that is New York 9am, Los Angeles 6am, London 2pm and Paris 3pm, SATURDAY) ...
    ... and to be visible at the following link during those times ...

    OUR NEW 90 MINUTE SITTING SCHEDULE IS AS FOLLOWS:


    00:00 – 00:15 CEREMONY (HEART SUTRA in English ONLY) and Dedication
    00:15 – 00:45 ZAZEN
    00:45 – 00:55 KINHIN
    00:55 – 01:25 ZAZEN
    01:25 – 01:30 FOUR VOWS, & VERSE OF ATONEMENT

    As you can see, our Zazenkai consists of chanting the 'Heart Sutra' in English (the words are at the link below), some full floor prostrations in sets of three (please follow along with me ... or a simple Gassho can be substituted if you wish), followed by our Dedication, Zazen twice for 30 minutes each, with 10 minutes of Kinhin in between, and we end the sitting with 'The Verse of Atonement' and 'The Four Vows'.

    Remember, when we drop all thought of 'here' 'there' 'now' 'then' ... we are sitting all together!

          Apparently it logged out between me writing the hi and when i was to write something at the end...

              24 hours later, "now" and "then" only illusions. Sometimes I get very attached to a routine, and if I can't stick to it exactly I get annoyed. It's good for me to have to deal with bumps now and then. Very turbulent thoughts today, found myself lost for a good period of time. But again, as long as it's understood right? :P

                Mmm, I know I posted here yesterday morning but it seems to have fallen off...anywho (to quote a Canadian Dharma-Brother) I was there Jundo. The sit began in the extreme muggy heat we have here these days, but "sometime and somewhere" during Zazenkai, a nice little breeze would wafty through my open windows and bring joy.
