PS - There is no "wrong" or "right" in Zazen ... yet here is a little explanation of the "right" times to Bow (A Koan) ...

Chant Book is here for those who wish to join in: CHANT BOOK LINK

The other video I mention on Zendo decorum is this one, from our "Always Beginners" video Series:

      Kia ora tatou! (hello everyone)

Working again on a saturday this week (and a charity event next week), so I'll be there in 'being-time' for the time-being, but plan to join live for the monthly zazenkai at the start of July. In the meantime, hope to see you in the SSR during the week.

        Hi all,

There were a bit of technical difficulties tonight with the live-stream to YouTube. It IS being recorded though, and will be posted once zazenkai is over.

The quote from Uchiyama Roshi ...

Whatever way you put it, I am here only because my world is here. When I took my first breath, my world was born with me. When I die, my world dies with me. In other words, I wasn't born into a world that was already here before me, nor do I live simply as one individual among millions of other individuals, nor do I leave everything behind to live on after me. People live thinking of themselves as members of a group or society. However, this isn't really true. Actually, I bring my own world into existence, live it out, and take it with me when I die.

The reality of the world and the Universe exist between my ears, as yours sits between your ears. When this brain of mine finally stops thinking for good the world and the Universe ends with my last thought. OK not anatomically correct and the Universe is whole and unseparated. This is how I interpret Uchiyama's words.

                        Thanks you everyone.
