Hi everyone - I'll sit this one a bit later but it is nice to be back. Long story short - just had lots of troubling non-troubles and have struggled with non-struggling, so am in the process of making a number of practical changes in my life, particularly by finally giving up my toxic job which I have had a love-hate relationship with, so that I can recover many things, one of which being my buddhist practice, so here I am again.
Hope you are all well, and if not, that you rest in equanimity through your ills. See you live in the zendo soon.
Regard, Tokan

I enjoy learning from everyone, I simply hope to be a friend along the way

Thank you for the wise words, Jundo. I just finished sitting with this Zazenkai on demand, the morning after we unexpectedly lost one of our cats of 15+ years. He was especially close to me and a best friend. What you said, "...something that cannot be broken, something that cannot be lost" is incredibly helpful as I work through this. It is hard to define, but this resonates with me. What we had was beautiful and unbroken and timeless and even this experience, too, is part of the All.
Thank you again Jundo, Jakuden and everyone for your practice.
