I am sending metta to you, Tai Shi

About this zazenkai, I joined it later by watching the recording. I found it very helpful, the sitting and the talk - losing yourself and finding yourself again, and pouring yourself into your body... Which book was it that you mentioned with an example, Jundo? Was it your book The Zen Master's Dance (which I plan to read, now especially) or another book?

I aim to join the next zazenkai in 'real time' with my camera on...

Yes, yes, that is the book. Truly amazing work. I know the author, almost like looking in a mirror.

By the way, everyone, this is much like the 佛現香 (Buddha Appearing Incense, Butsugenkou) that was gifted by Dani. Here it is after burning, with an image of Buddha and a little chant to Amida left in the ashes ...

Hmmm. How do they make it? I will have to find out.

The one which Dani gifted to us says Namu Amida Butsu [南無阿弥陀仏]: “Homage to Amida Buddha”

The one on the picture I posted from the internet, above, says Namu Shakamuni Butsu - 南無釈迦牟尼仏 “Homage to Shakyamuni Buddha”

Wonderful talk and a new view to training.

Thanks for reminding me about exercise, and using the body, and cookies. (Note: All calories in Zen are empty calories)

I sat Zazenkai on a snowy Sunday in Calgary.

Thank you everyone so much. I always look forward to Zazenkai and appreciate all that goes into making it happen.

                    That incense is very interesting!

Excellent. I liked the example you gave and I wanted to read the book that it was from. I have ordered a copy.
