Alas, I have been suddenly called away for this Zazenkai. Fortunately, Washin, our Ino, will be leading the festivities from Ukraine, so ... all set for launch!

I will join the sitting another day.

I’ve been working outside today, cutting frozen briars, so today’s talk will be: the Brush Axe That Cuts Through Delusion.

To set the stage, here is the frozen briar patch:

And here is the brush axe (and my helper Mattie):

Thank you all. Wonderful to practice together as always. Technical hiccups and all.

Thank you Sekishi, Washin and everyone.

Lovely talk, Sekishi. Similar to your briars, as I was walking home from work this week the beauty of tree branches coated in a layer of ice that were catching the light from a street lamp stopped me in my tracks (Ohio got a lot of the same weather you did down there).

                    Gassho,

Thank you Sekishi, Washin, and all for another wonderful Zazenkai and Dharma talk. I've got plenty of briars in my life that I need to work with, so the talk resonated quite well with me.

Thanks Washin for the effort of being up at 3AM chanting us through zazenkai.
Sekishi, thank you for being welcoming, for the great talk and for multitasking as well you do making everything work on the internets [emoji1]
Everyone else, you are the highlight of my week.

Thank you Sekishi, Washin and everyone for another wonderful Zazenkai. I sat with all of you this morning.

Nice talk Sekishi. Thorns and briars are fertile ground for Dharma.
