    This just in ....

    Dear Treeleaf Sangha,

However, only the first hour is there! Alas, you won't see my pants fall down at the end!

Thank you everyone. Thank you Youtube for preserving 1 hour of this week’s Zazenkai. I sat with you all this morning.

Thank you, Jundo, Sekishi, and everyone. I was too tired last night to join, but I just sat with the first hour, and timed my second sitting and chanted the Verse of Atonement and the Four Vows. I was sorry I didn't hear all of Jundo's talk, but I was grateful to be notified that the video was cut short. I will try to join live in the future. Have a great week, everyone!

I have a lot to learn; take anything I say that sounds like teaching with a grain of salt.

Thank you Jundo -- so pleased that you decided to talk on that subject. I live in Ohio and some of the violent protests are hitting our state as well. What you spoke to was heavy on my mind yesterday.

Also, thank you Sekishi. And thank you everyone for being there. I was looking forward to joining and glad to have made it.

If you are interested, what I spoke on is basically this ...

There is rioting today in many American cities, and other places in the world as well. I cry for all victims of violence. Someone said that the Buddha and Dogen had nothing to say about such things, but that is far from true. Yes, they both taught that we should know a reality beyond me vs. you, right and wrong, justice and
