I was not live and rather than sit through this ritual, I sat through another and if one person benefited from one word of sharing in our 100+ circle of people like me. This act of sharing while all others listen is the adhisive for the cracks in my pain which I do not feel while listening and sharing, listening can happen for more than an hour in which I am free of pain. This I’ve found the recipe against one drink which always leads to another and in this way, I live my life one moment, one minute, one hour, and ultimately one day at a time. Yesterday well lived, tomorrow the story of a well lived future, all in each day at a time. In the now I never drink today, just for today, for to remain sober is found in giving each moment away the gift to another in the reality of sharing I remain more than dry; I am sober today, just for today.
