Thank you Jundo...and everybody for your practice!
It is always beautiful share at Treeleaf!
Even amongst such dreadfully monstruous snake-like ropes and rope-like snakes!!!

I would like to suggest, in all humility, a sequence for the chant of the verse of atonement...since it seems as though the mind and thoughts come first, followed by mouth and speech and lastly (but not leastly...for sure!), body and acts....I wonder...why not put it like that...?
    I mean...it could go like:

All harmful thoughts, words and acts
Ever committed by me since of old,
On account of beginningless greed, anger and ignorance
Born of my mind, mouth and body
Now I atone for them all.

    I don't know...just a humble suggestion...consider it...

Recently we were decorating for the holidays in our office and I had a furry owl ornament in my hand. My coworker came up to ask me something and nearly screamed when she saw it, thinking it was a mouse.

I wonder if there's something going on in our building they're not telling me?

Thank you, Jundo, for your talk today. I really needed to hear that even Zen Masters feel fear. After being in an autoimmune disease flare for nine months, my doctor told me I have no more treatment options available to me, except for my worst nightmare. And there I am, staring it down, and going through the gamut of absolute refusal, fear, grief, curiosity, acceptance (just a teensy bit) and back.

Thank you all very much for practicing together.

A month ago, during a routine checkup, they found some immune system proteins in my blood, that shouldn't be there in this amount.
Nobody knows for now, if it's just a 'to be monitored' condition, something that needs/can be treated, or a type of blood cancer, that can not be treated.
I am thankful for our practice, because it makes me feel OK with the unclear situation during the ongoing tests. More ok, than people around can understand.
I can relate to this week's talk very much.

                            Gassho,
                            Kotei sat/lah today.

Waiting to hear can be very hard, but good practice in letting the mind not runaway with us. That was the very point of this week's talk.
