    PS - There is no "wrong" or "right" in Zazen ... yet here is a little explanation of the "right" times to Bow (A Koan) ...

    The other video I mention on Zendo decorum is this one, from our "Always Beginners" video Series:

    For all our Russian speakers, a translation of the Heart Sutra (Сердце Сутра) ...

    My "Google Translate" had the final words as "This mantra says: “Gate, gate, paragate, parasamgate, bodhi, matchmaker!" (сваха)

    ================

    Бодгиссатва Авалокитешвара во время осуществления глубокой праджня-парамиты ясно увидел, что все пять скандх пусты. Тогда он избавился от всех страданий, перейдя на другой берег.

    Шарипутра! Чувственно воспринимаемое не отлично от пустоты. Пустота не отлична от чувственно воспринимаемого. Чувственно воспринимаемое — это и есть пустота. Пустота — это и есть чувственно воспринимаемое. Группы чувств, представлений, формирующих факторов и сознания точно таковы же.

    Шарипутра! Для всех дхарм пустота — их сущностный признак. Они не рождаются и не гибнут, не загрязняются и не очищаются, не увеличиваются и не уменьшаются.

    Поэтому в пустоте нет группы чувственно воспринимаемого, не групп чувства, представлений, формирующих факторов и сознания, нет способностей зрительного, слухового, обонятельного, вкусового, осязательного и умственного восприятия, нет зримого, слышимого, обоняемого, ощущаемого вкусом, осязаемого и нет дхарм; нет ничего от сферы зрительного восприятия и до сферы умственного восприятия.

    Нет неведения и нет прекращения неведения, и так вплоть до отсутствия старости и смерти и отсутствия прекращения старости и смерти. Нет страдания, причины страдания, уничтожения страдания и пути, ведущего к прекращению страданий. Нет мудрости и нет обретения, и нет ничего обретаемого.

    По той причине, что бодхисаттвы опираются на праджня-парамиту, в их сознании отсутствуют препятствия. А поскольку отсутствуют препятствия, то отсутствует и страх. Они удалили и опрокинули все иллюзии и обрели окончательную нирвану.

    Все Будды трех времен по причине опоры на праджня-парамиту обрели аннутара самьяк самбодхи. Посему знай, что праджня-парамита — это великая божественная мантра, это мантра великого пробуждения, это наивысшая мантра, это несравненная мантра, которая может отсечь все страдания; она наделена истинной сутью, а не является пустопорожней. Поэтому и называется она мантрой праджня-парамиты. Эта мантра гласит: “Гате, гате, парагате, парасамгате, бодхи, сваха!

                  I am practicing broken-down-car Zen today. I may be out trying to get my car moved from my work parking lot at the time of zazenkai. Fingers crossed that it is just the battery or the starter...

                      Thank you, Jundo and Washin. I am looking forward to the zazenkai and hearing the Heart Sutra in Russian. I will join two-way, tech allowing, but my video camera was not working this morning, so it may be one-way tonight.

                      Gassho,

                              It must have worked from the future because I did get the car to start and have moved it safely home. Hopefully tomorrow it starts again!
