Sunday Sit with Washin - April 7th, 2024

    Hello everyone,

please join us again this Sunday, sitting for peace in the Ukraine and around the world.
I believe the electricity supply in Odessa is still not very reliable, but Washin will be trying to be there with us, leading our sitting for peace.

Please check with the Treeleaf Practice Calendar for your local time, under the listing Sunday Sit (Zazen for Peace): https://www.treeleaf.org/now/#calendar

We meet in the Treeleaf Scheduled Sitting Room: https://www.treeleaf.org/now/go.php?l=ssr password if needed is << dogen >>

A livestream of the meeting can be found here:

The format of the sitting will be:

    - Heart Sutra
    - Zazen 40 minutes
    - Verse of Atonement and the Four Vows

All are welcome. Please, join us! No prior experience is required - just follow along - come sit with us.

    Gassho,
    Kotei sat/lah today.

    義道 冴庭 / Gidō Kotei.

    Dear Washin and Kotei,

Thank you for the Sunday sits for peace. Having joined Treeleaf a week ago, I recited the Heart Sutra with a sangha for the first time today. I earnestly wish for the cessation of the crimes my astray compatriots are committing in Ukraine. May peace come to our countries and to the entire world

    Gassho,
    Arkady
    Satlah

I am just a priest-in-training, any resemblance between what I post and actual teachings is purely coincidental.

"To study the Buddha Way is to study the self; to study the self is to forget the self; to forget the self is to be actualized by myriad things. When actualized by myriad things, your body and mind as well as the body and mind of others drop away. No trace of realization remains and this no trace continues endlessly" - Dogen Zenji
