All our Best Wishes today to Mr. K, the Japanese fellow who has frequently sat with our Treeleaf Zazenkai and at Antaiji the last couple of years. He will be taking Shukke Tokudo (Homeleaving) Ordination as a novice priest-in-training at Annonji, a Soto Zen temple a few hours from here. I will be driving over to join in the events, and I hope to post some photos later. (That's him below, at Treeleaf sitting with so many of you).
Like many novice priests these days, Mr. K. is "homeleaving", but will continue his ordinary work and life for now while training with Rev. Jinen at Annonji.
I know that our entire Community will be there with him in heart.
Gassho, Jundo
By the way, please look for information to be posted in the coming day on our own Shukke Tokudo Ceremony for Daizan and Sekishi, to be held and broadcast to all next Saturday.
