I am enjoying the fellowship of this so much. Thank you Jundo for creating this space and thank you everyone who nurtured the idea of this Zazenathon for giving us the opportunity to spend a few days really focusing on the link between us all. Sure, the link is there anyway, but this feels like a great way to celebrate it and deepen our sense of sangha.
It's also prompted me to sit for longer, which I was really avoiding because I'm a wuss
I sat 9:45-10:10 this morning thanks to Kyotai's impromptu sits
Elgwyn, many good thoughts and healing for you, thank you for sharing. I have heard of AS, the wife of an old friend of mine has it, and my old friends has RA as well. My respects to you, grateful for your sharing here.

鏡道 | Kyodo (Meian) | "Mirror of the Way" visiting Unsui Nothing I say is a teaching, it's just my own opinion.
Conference is over and I am not traveling home until tomorrow... so I am dedicating the rest of the day to mindfulness, Zazen, (did my am sit, 3 more to go) Treeleaf and Buddha's birthday, and Elgwyn and anyone else in physical or mental pain. Thank you for being there dear Sangha.
Just sat. Am really appreciating sitting at fixed times and for longer, not just when I feel like it. It's starting to hit me how amazing it is that this Zazen chain is happening all over the world...I had an image of it encircling the globe last night before my evening sit.
Elgwyn, thank you for sharing about your condition. I hope it went well with the doctor today. I'm sorry you are in so much pain. Deep bows.

I may be unclear as to how the backup thing works--I've just been signing up for it at times I would have been sitting anyway. So, I don't know if I need to report it, but I did that this morning.
Received the baton from Washin with a lovely Gassho and passed on to Onkai.
I agree Washin a great feeling, and what better way to end a beautiful day, sun going down, the birds doing singing the dusk chorus, the smell of my favourite incense 'Ka-fuh' by Nippon Kodo and....................just sitting.
Hi, Nenka, if you are going to sit you think for sure, go ahead and put your name down along with any others as primary! (If you accidentally delete, remember the back button! I have used it many times!) The back-up is for when you think you can probably sit, but are not sure, but are also willing to be contacted to sit for that time slot if there is an emergency with the primary or no one ends up filing the slot as primary.
The main objective of the spreadsheet is to make sure that we will have at least one primary sitter round-the-clock for the 10-day Zazenathon. Of course, if we had two or three, or heck four, people sitting in a slot, the more the merrier and it would do Treeleaf and Jundo proud! But we need to make sure that we have at least one person sitting at all times!
I would love to fill at least one day two times over, maybe the 10th day, or the 7th or 8th day when Jundo sits the Big Sit for Buddha's Birthday!
Any takers?
Gassho, Grace.
