Sat this morning 7.30-8am BST. Overslept, woke up at 7.15, remembered my session groaned inwardly, considered going back to sleep (I'm not proud), thought of my practice, thought of our shared practice, ran downstairs to the zafu... and stretching out before my session I felt like Michael Phelps at the poolside, ready to do my bit for my zendo

Genuinely felt the presence of all Treeleafers

Thank you all who are sitting - whether on the spreadsheet or freestyling, it's all good practice.

Found a bench under a tree - 16 deg C in Alberta on April 1st, wow - last year we had a blizzard the same day! This is a photo from the web; of course the trees have no leaves yet.

Hi, Kazahimo, I just finished my sitting.

I know what you mean, I also feel the presence of all the Sangha members. I just now finished my sitting, and during it I felt directly connected with and grateful to Lucy who I knew sat before me, and then I felt that connection extend backward to all the Sangha members who sat continuously before her, and then, at the same time, I felt the same connection and gratitude extend to Byokan who, I also knew, would be sitting directly after me, and then, to all who would be following. I wish I could describe it--not over-powering, just really there. I don't know that I usually feel connected before and after--I usually only feel connected in the present. Gassho, Grace.
