Respect Nishijima Roshi

I read book of Nishijima Roshi,our Grand father.

I read his Dharma talk by Abbot ,Goteisyou　提唱 at Antaiji .20 and more book.
And he translate Syobogenzo in English.
And he write for Japanese business person.

This time I read Japanese simple book for business person.

He said about Zazen and Zen ,and tea and Japanese writing Syodo 書道.
And said about Rinzai and Soto.
And said about some kind of enlightenment.

I feel his mind ,his open mind.

So what can we do?

I must tell you that NISHIJIMA had a wonderful influence on my practice. To Meet the Real Dragon was a great book and the Cross/NISHIJIMA Shobogenzo is a classic. The interactions I had with him on his blog were very important to me. I'm grateful that Jundo has carried the tradition to Treeleaf and allows me the freedom to express myself.

His open mind connect us,internet Zendo.

For me difficult to understand soon, I will understand .

And he is also sit under Sawaki Roshi ,now perfume of Antaiji connect to earth for me.

I am little sad he had lots of sangha group but they do not exist now.

Konan,

We are all more alike than not, no matter where in the world we come from.

My wife taught elementary school for many years. She told me she never doubted that she was making a difference and held that close to her heart. That was her practice, she lived every day in the classroom in the present.

Hi Mr. K,

Thank you for your words. I have read the Heart-to-Heart Chat book and felt a real connection to Nishijima roshi, knowing that he was responsible for this lineage which produced Treeleaf. I particularly liked the straightforward way in which he explains Zen, and I reread sections of that book frequently.
