    I knew bits and pieces of this story from other sources, but I just happend to stumble on this Wikipedia entry for the first time. Very interesting reading!! I wish that area (Bactria) wasn't so dangerous right now, I'd love to wander around...

    Very interesting article Skye,

    It is unusual to see the ancient Greek and Mahayana cultures collide. I don’t know if ancient Greece would be considered an early ‘Western’ civilization, but this certainly seems, to me, to be a very early East meets West situation.
