I just finished a book called The Wisdom of Solitude, by Jane Dobisz. Jane retreats to a cabin in the woods for a monastic schedule of meditation and physical labor for one hundred days. She learns from the trees, the snow, and the chickadees, but she is also very frank about her failings and frustrations.
I found it to be a beautiful little book, so engaging that I finished it in a single day. Jane inspired me to pursue my own practice with renewed energy.
Anyone else read it?
