    The Mountain

I went up the mountain to practice,
    there was nothing added.

I built a hut on that mountain,
rain still fell on my head.

I toiled tirelessly to feed myself,
    I was still hungry.

I've come back down happy to find my family, who was always there,
whole in practice, safe and secure with support and full with the Dharma.

Thank you for your patience and persistence,

    Nine bows,

    Dokan

We've always been here my brother. And were with you on that mountain in fact, but are glad you are in this visible world with us all the same.

Thank you Dokan. As I read I saw the mountain in its many manifestations. Powerful.
