    String Zazen

To me, the string string in this video represents what my mind looks like first during zazen and then later as it gets agitated by the events that occur throughout the day.

with vigilance, perhaps it will become more like a guitar string. zazen would be like the string in its unplucked state. the rest of the time, after the string is plucked, there is still some vibration (i.e. agitation), but there is also a sweet, soothing tone to accompany the vibration.

It's all beautiful, but it gets harder to follow the strand as the mind gets distracted with all the activity, but it's always there.
