Non-attainment Goallessness is most certainly our goal to attain, and we strive sincerely and diligently to attain them, as if our hair were on fire and we needed to put it out!
How do we attain the goal of Non-Attaining Goallessness, putting that fire out?
By radically, to the marrow, dropping all thoughts of Goals and need to Attain.
Piece of cake.
Now I've talked too much. Don't pay so much attention to my words. Just sit. Sit often and regularly.
Gassho, J
Thank you for that delicious piece of cake!
So we attain 'the goal' of Non-Attaining Goallessness, by putting out the fire with that goal in mind.
I sit often and very regularly, thank you. At regular hours, for the most part, and over 2 hours for the most part.Last edited by galen; 10-09-2012, 07:31 PM.Nothing SpecialComment

Sitting 4 hours or 8 hours brings one no closer or farther no matter how hard one tries, yet sitting 2 minutes or 2 years may be miles away if trying too hard or not enough. Depends on how one sits.

Sounds like you are working very hard to get someplace which, in the end, is no place that can be gotten. That can be good or bad, depending on how one is "non-striving striving". Don't overshoot or undershoot the non-target.
