"WHY ONE AND NOT THE OTHER?" - Blog post from Dhamma Musings

Mahavira, the founder of the religion that came to be known as Jainism was an older contemporary of the Buddha and is mentioned frequently ...

    Thank you, Eric.

Ven. Shravasti Dhammika, the author, is a Western born Theravadan monk who writes bringing honesty, criticism, historical reality and "down to earthness" to Buddhism. For that reason, he is not very popular with those who do not want certain subjects raised and certain questions asked. That is a shame.

I don't remember how I ran into his blog, but he always writes very interesting blog posts relating to Buddhism and Indian culture. Agree or disagree with him, his blog always makes good reading.

Fantastic article. I will have to pay attention to the rest of his writing.
If I'm already enlightened why the hell is this so hard?
