Happiness is to meditate and be generous: Forbes

I just read this article and thought about sharing it.

New studies link happiness to meditation and to get away from the self and give.

Not sure why, but sounds familiar... :P

      Thank you.

This got me thinking about the goal no-goal thing. In a way zazen and practice has a goal, but we cannot look at it the way we traditionally do with goals, i.e. goals that satisfy a self-centered need, right?

      Gassho,

Edit: I guess if we think of a goal or have a goal with sitting, then we worry about the goal and not the sitting. But if we just practice and sit, then the sitting takes care of itself, and so does the goal.

Risho, I really liked your "edit" statement regarding goals and sitting...
