I'm always trying to stuff the Dharma in my pockets. This weekend I noticed I had some extra fabric left from my rakusu, so I decided to take a break from kesa sewing and make a tiny, pocket sized rakusu to go with my pocket Zen liturgy.
Here are some pics of my odd little project.
Not a true rakusu of course, but a nifty little reminder, and I learned several things while making it:
- Ironing tiny seams is very difficult
- The size of the fabric is inversely proportionate to how many times I will accidentally stab myself with a needle
