    Ugraparipccha Sutra

    Hello friends,

In order to avoid going off-topic on the other active Sutra thread, and since I have only one rather specific question, I started this one to see if anyone could point me to a copy of the Ugraparipccha (or Ugra) Sutra; it's apparently a very early Mahayana sutra, but I can't seem to find any reference to it beyond this book.

Is there any chance that any of you have come across it?

    Thank you in advance.

    Metta and Gassho,

    Saijun

That's a difficult sutra to find... I'm afraid all I have to offer is the below.. along with the chuckle on its opening "Research in Mahayana sutras is a slow and painstaking process.."

Thank you for posting that, Nate. It was very interesting, informative and helpful. The "Buddha-wonk" in me enjoyed it.

      And now ... ... ... Let's just sit with that. 8)

        Hello Nate,

Thank you for your help. It was very interesting reading, and I think I'm going to pick up a copy of the book when funds allow.
