Meditating on a Chair: a recomendation

The choir teacher just revived new Chairs for her choir that are designed to promote proper breathing and posture for musicians. Having had a sore knee this week I tried siting zazen one yesterday. It was great, promoting good posture and breathing. They are Wenger Symphony Chairs http://www.wengercorp.com/Chairs/MusicPosture.html This may be a place to look if poor knees are preventing you from making it to the cushion.

Lately, I've been using a piano stool with, at the back end (the back when I'm sitting) a piece of wood to raise it about 1 1/2 inches. This tilts it just a bit, and I find that the tilt helps me sit a lot better. I still get a tight neck, though, so I need to experiment with other heights, perhaps.
    I know nothing.
