To save all sentient beings, though beings are numberless.
To penetrate reality, though reality is boundless.
To transform all delusion, though delusions are immeasurable.
To attain the enlightened way, a way non-attainable.

    Re: Genjo Koan

Genjo Koan elucidates something that is not a thing, that exists at the beginning of every present moment just before my perception of myself in that moment. If I could stop my perception before I am aware of it, thereby short-circuiting my own consciousness and abiding in a place where "I" am not yet, then the truth of this koan would be there. Then I could drop it and get on with the day. However, these things are not mine yet, as I am young and foolish, attached to many things. Patience is my only answer.

    Gassho,
    Tobiah
It occurs to me that my attachment to this body is entirely arbitrary. All the evidence is subjective.

I did a whole series of sit-a-long talks on Genjo Koan awhile back, now not available. I hope to get them reposted soon. We went through the Genjo step by step, and it is very good to do so.
