NOTE: I BELIEVE THAT WE HAVE ENOUGH FOLKS FOR OUR NEW TEAM FOR NOW, BUT I MAY INVITE MORE FOLKS SOMETIME LATER. THANK YOU ALL, AND THANK YOU TO ALL WHO VOLUNTEERED!
Dear All,
I am wondering if anyone who is a regular attendee at our weekly and monthly Treeleaf Zazenkai ...
... would like to be on the Ino/Doan Team? It would really be helpful, and good practice for anyone interested. The Ino is the person who recites the Chants and Dedications, and the Doan is the person who rings the bells and strikes the drums while doing so ... but since that is usually the same person in our Sangha, we say "Ino/Doan."
It would be a big help. Also, it is a joyful experience and not so hard.
We are very forgiving of miscues as someone learns, one can read the words and cues, and it is not so hard. ANYONE might try! All Sangha members welcome.
If you are a regular at our Zazenkai, you are already familiar with the content. The monthly ceremony is a bit longer, but you'll get the hang. We even forgive terrible singing voices!
Why not give it a try?
As I said, we could really use a few folks on a rotating "Ino/Doan Team!" Let's hear those tenors and baritones!
If you are interested, either post in this thread or PM me (Jundo).
You can put it on your resume!
