    Ajahn Chanh - Book Suggestion

I am trying to have a more rounded Buddhist library.

Recently went to Barnes and Noble and found two books based on talks by Ajahn Chah:

    and

Since budget is always limited, which one to start with? Or is there another collection that I should start with?

    Hey Man,

I'd go with "Food for the Heart" You can't go wrong with the the publisher "Wisdom Publications" when it comes to books from the Theravada tradition. Also, it looks like Ajahn Amaro had a role in putting the collection togather.

In the meantime follow this link to a free e-book --- really good stuff

    http://www.buddhanet.net/pdf_file/tree-forest.pdf

Big File, might take some time to dowload, but just save the pdf to your desktop after it opens up.

    Have fun!!

      Hi Guys,

I like Ven. Ajahn Chanh very much. I do not know those particular books, but I will try to look them up soon.

          Hi Chicano,

In general, the writings of the theravadin buddhist monks are available free, because it's in there code that there should be no exchange for teachings (but they have support from the lay community regardless).

Just google and this link will come up - http://www.ajahnchah.org/book/index.php, also - http://www.ajahnchah.org/book/index.php and as gregor said buddhanet also - http://www.buddhanet.net/pdf_file/teachings_chah.pdf
