I just ordered this on Amazon. Apparently, the quickest they can deliver is in a window between January 7 and 14. I would like to read and discuss.

              Thank you, Kokuu and Doshin.
I am involved in a small "green project" of tree planting along the local seaside and would be
interested to join in the study.
              I'll order the book shortly.

For those in the United States there is a documentary on PBS on December 29th titled ‘Earth Emergency’ I have not seen it but Richard Gere is the narrator and he talked about it on the news today. I believe Richard is a Buddhist. The documentary looks at climate change.

Thank you for that, Doshin. I hope the documentary will be available elsewhere sometime later.

Richard Gere is a longtime Tibetan Buddhist with links to HH Dalai Lama, and was one of the co-founders of Tibet House in the US which preserves and maintains Tibetan culture and spiritual traditions. He also studied Zen under Joshu Sasaki.

This looks great, thank you. It is available at this website, divided into short segments - https://feedbackloopsclimate.com/ - hopefully available to all regions.

I just finished watching Earth Emergency and think it provided a good overview of the reasons for climate change. The story started and ended with the Dalai Lama.

I look forward to our discussions about how this all relates to the dharma.

This is wonderful, Doshin and Kokuu. I am excited to see this happening and will be sure to read the book when I can. It is an important topic that is near and dear to my heart, but another busy semester on the horizon has me reluctant to commit to participating.

                            Gassho,

Jundo please remove this entry is destructive or angry. How do I practice forgiveness meditation? What are the barriers for others to change? How have I caused suffering? Do I carry my own pain of suffering? How can we use zazen to change our world? At age 6o I began to meditate ands question my behavior. Now I feel some change in myself. I question my anger and deceit. I am 70-years-old. I heard first the word "ecology" when I was in high school. I learned that this word could mean balance between all the biological element in nature. Unlike so many of my friends, I failed the road test, but passed the test at age age 17. My friends bought "hot cars" spewing exhaust fumes. In my 70th why not change? Money goes roads, maitrance, bridges, and all that goes into this system. The US produces much of the pollution devastating our word with an ever destructive system. Instead of other countries getting the hint, their populations seek to be like the US. Last year our US economy spewed more pollutants into the world than ever before. Instead of tackling the problem business not only ignores the problem but willing makes the problem worse. I hope this gives rise to some for you realizing we all must change or become extinct like many creatures. It makes me sad to think so many birds are gone. Humans may destroy the earth with dead water. Technology and thought could solve these problems. I willing gave up hurtling missals through space. Now my wife and I together are pilot and copilot. This is a choice we all must make. Now there is no balance in ecology. Why not use science? Jundo please delete this entry if too long. In this moment I ask your forgiveness. I will take time to ask your forgiveness for my destruction. I have willingness to change. I offer forgiveness and ask to change myself. My wife at age 62 and mewat 65 willingly made change. We have several years to live. Why not change? Forgiveness cannot be forced but now I seek change. How can I help to save the earth? It's not too late. Use our times to visualize. We need not be judgemental but just change. How is it to be in the solution? I can let my heart become supple and lead my mind to change?
